INT R O DU C T IO N:  An electric power system is a network of electrical electrical components used to supply, transmit and use electric power  This power system is known as th e g rid and can be broadly divided into the generation that supply the power, the transmission system that carries the power from the generating centers to the load centers and the distribution system that feeds the power to nearby homes and industries.
 Transmission network  To transport the electric power from the point of generation to the load centers. All above a certain voltage .  (Subtransmission)  Distribution network  To distribute the electric power among the consumers  Below a certain voltage
Generation:  Electricity generation is the process of generating electrical power from other sources of primary energy.  Electricity is most often generated at a power station by electromechanicalgenerators, primarily driven by heat engines fueled by chemical combustion ornuclear fission but also by other means such as the kinetic energy of flowing water and wind. Other energy sources include solar photovoltaics andgeothermal power.
