Unit-I Fundamental of Web Internet-:It’s a global system that consist of millions of public, private, academics, government, business network of local to global scope.    Interne allow the all computer connected to it to exchange the information with one to another. Protocol require for communication. Network of Networks. Web -: Web is a collection of resource interconnected with hyperlinks accessible via internet using standard protocol suite. Web Page-: It is a collection of normal text, picture, video, audio, and hyperlinks. It can be designed with HTML, XML, and JavaScript etc.  HTML- designing structure.  JavaScript- validation the field ,  XML- is advance version of HTML. Static web page-: static web page displays the exact same information whenever anyone visits it. Dynamic web page-: dynamic web page is capable of producing different content for different visitors from the same source code file. Website:-A website is a collection of related web page , including multimedia content , tupypically identified with a common domain name, and published on at least one web server..A websites refer to a location on the internet and a collection of web pages, images, and video. Which are addressed relative to a common URL?  It is nothing but a domain name hosted on a server which is accessible via network called internet or private LAN.  It is a collection of interlink webpage.  Website is accessed through URL.  URL is a global address of web document on WWW.  URL is also developed by Burners lee.  Website is categorized according to their function; 1. Personal website 2. Commercial website. 3. Government website.  There are two types of website- is 1. Static –information side. 2. Dynamic –interaction side. It is an information sharing model.  It is huge collection of page of information liked to each other around the globe.  Every page is a combination of text, picture, audio, video, animation, and hyperlink,  Tim Berners Lee is the father of W.W.W Web server-: A web server is a program that uses HTTP to serve the files that from web pages to uses, in response to their request. Which are forwarded by their computer HTTP clients?  It is software which maintains the web application.  It’s run on port no 80.  It responds the client request and also accepts the client dada. Web browser-:A web browser is application software for accessing information on the World Wide Web. The most popular web browsers are Goggle Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explore and Microsoft Edge etc.  It is software used to display HTML documents  MOSAIC is 1st web browser.  It is introduced in 1993; next browser is Netscape navigator-internet Explore. Some example of web brewers  Google chrome  Mozilla Firefox  Opera  Safari  Internet Explore  Slim jet  Maxton  UC browser  Netscape browser  Microsoft Edge DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol)-: DHCP is a network protocol that enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to a computer from a defined range of numbers configured for a given network. DHCP is also used to configure the proper subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server information on the device. ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) -:      The internet is based on IP address. Data link protocol (Ethernet, FDDI, ATM) may have different MAC address. IP uses dynamic distributed resolution technique ARP part of TCP/IP protocol suit REC-826 addresses Resolution Protocol. RARP (Reverse Address resolution protocol)-:  Reverse ARP is a returning protocol used by a client machine in a local area network to request its internal protocol address (IPv4) from the gateway routers ARP table.
