ALGORITHMS AND FLOWCHARTS   A typical programming task can be divided into two phases: Problem solving phase  produce an ordered sequence of steps that describe solution of problem  this sequence of steps is called an algorithm  Implementation phase  implement the program in some programming language Flow chart and algorithm Prepared by: Er. Sakar Niroula 3

Programming Tools Three tools are used to write a program  Algorithms- logical step showing appropriate variable showing the task and step involved.    Flowchart - Graphically depicts the logical steps to carry out a task and shows how the steps relate to each other. Pseudocode - Uses English-like phrases with some Basic terms to outline the program. 4 Flow chart and algorithm Prepared by: Er. Sakar Niroula
